Ringelstetter

The earliest known Ringelstetter is Erhard Ringelstetter (Ringlstätter).

Ringelstetter family history can be traced to the year 1654 in Tiefenbach, Kreis Cham, Bavaria, Germany. 

It is possible the Ringelstetter family previously came from the Dingolfing area, possibly from a nearby town called Ringstetten (earlier spelled Rinkenstatt).  Names of possible sisters of Erhard Ringelstetter were found in the Dingolfing church book . Unfortunately, Erhard's baptism record was not found, due to the church records being burned for the years including 1618.

Descendants of Erhard 

Johann Ringelstetter and his wife, Frances Huber, and their children immigrated to America in Jul 1870. They settled in Sauk County, Wisconsin.
